OUR OFFER
BEAR WATCHING
The bear watching tour lasts 3–4 hours. It takes place from Postojna every day from April to October, starting two hours before sunset. It is suitable for adults and children aged 8 years and over. There is a 30-minute drive to the bear watching hide in the forest, where we wait for foxes, badgers, and bears to appear.
An experienced local guide and ranger accompanies you throughout the tour, providing information about bear biology and the forest environment in Slovenia.
One or two hours after sunset, we return safely to Postojna.
We hold the “Bear Friendly” label, which sets out clear guidelines for responsible bear watching.
Responsible bear watching in Slovenia involves observing wild brown bears in their natural habitat while adhering to ethical standards that prioritise bear welfare, safety, and minimal disturbance to both the animals and their environment. Slovenia has a stable brown bear population of more than individuals, and bear-watching tours are regulated to ensure sustainability.
Tours are led by licensed guides who are knowledgeable about bear behaviour and safety protocols.
To minimise disturbance to wildlife, responsible bear watching tours keep group sizes small (2–8 people).
As wildlife is unpredictable, sightings cannot be guaranteed.

FOREST HIKING

FAMILY HIKING

The hike is adjusted to getting to know and experiencing nature for the youngest (1-17 years old) and their parents. Together we will get to know forest animals and look for their tracks in the forest and refresh ourselves with local delicacies from the basket.
ABOUT US
Our story intertwines with the way we live because as hunters we spend a lot of time in the woods surrounded by the beauty of nature and wildlife.
BE AROUND ME is a fan of the forest and its inhabitants. Our connection to nature is reflected in our way of life and concern for nature conservation. We want to show visitors the inhabitants of the forest, their way of live and the importance of preserving the integrity of their living space. BEAR FRIENDLY
In 2022 we received the bear friendly label for our Bear watching and Forest hiking program. Bear friendly label was developed within the LIFE DINALP BEAR project to award practices that contribute to better coexistence between large carnivores (bear, wolf and lynx) and humans.
Our main partner in implementing programs for children is Center Dina Pivka , which was created in the Carnivora Dinarica project. We also actively participate in the LIFE Lynx project and with other providers with the bear-friendly label.
